Deejay Mzero, born Muzikayise Mazibuko, is a renowned South African DJ, radio personality, and entrepreneur. Born on September 30, 1989, in Eshowe, KwaZulu-Natal, he has solidified his position as a talented deep house and afro-tech DJ, performing at various events and clubs on a part-time basis.
Muzikayise's touching story:
Following the loss of his parents in 1999-2000, Deejay Mzero was taken in by The House of Shalom children's home, where he spent three formative years (2004-2007). This experience instilled in him values of self-love, compassion, and a strong faith.
Deejay Mzero's passion for radio began at a young age. He commenced his journey in 2013 and secured an opportunity at Siyathuthuka 97.6 FM in 2015. He rapidly rose through the ranks, assuming roles as a music compiler, production manager, and radio presenter. In 2020, he joined Radio 7441 FM in Cape Town as a production manager, music compiler, and technician. His dedication to continuous learning has been a hallmark of his success.
"The lessons I learned and the love I received have empowered me to pursue my passions, establish my own businesses, and give back to my community" Says Muzikayise.
Currently, Deejay Mzero is partnered with Ndera FM in Marondera, Zimbabwe's Mashonaland East, serving as an independent station engineer and technician. He is also pursuing a license to establish Umlalazi Youth Radio through ICASA, aiming to empower his community and provide a platform for youth voices.
